Fees & Steps to Your Mural Painting

STEP 1: Initial Consultation

Book a free consultation to discuss the mural's size, timeline, budget, location, and your vision. Please send photos of the wall and surrounding area, along with any example pictures or links if you have specific ideas. After our discussion, I will send you a proposal and estimate. For larger projects, a preliminary site visit may be recommended.

STEP 2: Agreement and Design

Once we agree on the proposal and I receive a 30% deposit, we’ll schedule painting days. I will begin the design and sketching process, allowing for up to two rounds of revisions. Upon approval, we move to Step 3.

STEP 3: Preparation

Wall preparation—including repairs and priming if needed—will be completed by a professional. I will purchase materials and paint, and arrange for contractors and equipment. Please ensure the site is cleared of furniture and obstacles. Any precious or built-in items should be secured professionally. I will need access to a clean toilet, electricity, and a sink for water. Please note, I carry my water pail to and from the painting area.

STEP 4: Painting Process

I maintain a tidy workspace, painting every day (excluding weekends, unless otherwise arranged) until the mural is complete. Timelines vary from two days to several weeks depending on size and detail. All materials and equipment will be removed upon completion.

STEP 5: Final Touches and Payment

The final balance will be due at this stage. I will sign your mural—perhaps with champagne if you wish! This is a wonderful moment to celebrate and enjoy your beautiful large-scale artwork.

Mural Fee:

The duration for projects typically ranges from two days to two weeks. The final price is determined by several factors:

• Complexity of the design

• Scale of the mural

• Travel expenses

• Materials used

Please note that the quoted price does not include general repair and preparation of the wall or scaffolding. Depending on the specifics of the project, I may request that you engage a professional to repair, base-coat, and prime your wall.

Design and Research Fee:

After our initial consultation, I will provide a free quotation. If you decide to proceed, you will sign the estimate and pay a 20% design fee to cover research and sketches. Based on our discussion, I will create two initial design concepts. This fee will be deducted from the final mural price.

Payment Breakdown:

30% Design and research fee

70% Balance due upon completion of the mural

I'm available to travel to projects across Cambridgeshire, the UK, and worldwide! As a member of the European Union, the United States and as a resident of the UK, I can paint freely without concerns.
