"Bunch of Carrots"...these iconic British pub signs, hand-painted with character and charm, entice passersby to step into gnarly yet cozy establishments steeped in history. I feel enchanted. If only modernity hadn't swept in and replaced these old paintings with mass-produced plastic signage.

The pub sign shown is a brewery sign. It was commissioned not to entice visitors for a chat and a pint, but to celebrate the heritage of the converted Old Coach House on the former brewery's site. The images are based on old photographs taken at this location in Cambridgeshire.

The hand-forged iron core and bracket were crafted by R M Hillam IronWorks from Cambridgeshire, adding a sculptural touch to the traditional painted signage.

The sign's painted iron oval measures approximately 100cm x 60cm.
